Release Notes

Extract TarTool.zip to a local folder.

Make sure TarTool.exe and ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.dll are in the same directory.

Open a Command Prompt and run TarTool.exe to get the usage information

>TarTool.exe
Usage :
>TarTool sourceFile destinationDirectory
>TarTool D:\sample.tar.gz ./
>TarTool sample.tgz temp
>TarTool -x sample.tar temp

Worked as expected. Michel4CE, your file has a .tar.tar extension. Are you sure you have the right download ? For .tar.gz you don't need to specify any option.

i try to untar openssl-0.9.8k.tar.tar for the OpenSSL website. I put both file from the zip and the tar in the same directory and i enter the following command : tartool -x openssl-0.9.8k.tar.tar .\ But nothing happen... I want to add that no source seeems available Michel
